What We Do
Metro provides a range of services in construction including winter and summer highway maintenance, excavation, gravel base and asphalt paving. Metro works on many related construction and maintenance activities including all phases of site development, site servicing and project management.
Gravel Pits
Metro operates gravel pits in the Elk Valley, near Sparwood, and in Fernie, B.C. We are continually looking for more opprotunities to grow the gravel pit and permanent asphalt plant side of our company.
Stationary Asphalt Plant
Metro operates a stationary asphalt plant in Sundre, Alberta. This permanent installation allows us to become part of a greater community, serving the agricultural industry, oil and gas facilities, and municipalities for a radius of over 100 kilometers for a long time to come.

Portable Asphalt Plant
Our portable asphalt plant can be relocated, setup and calibrated in three days providing Metro with many opportunities, and the advantage to work in almost any location needed no matter how remote.
Portable Asphalt Plant
We have mixed asphalt in places like Grande Cash, Alberta at a sawmill, at the Columbia Ice Fields in Jasper National Park, Castle Junction in Banff National Park and a dozen cities and towns in southern Alberta and the East Kootenays of B.C. The plant will be serving Canmore, Banff (Bow Valley) during parts of the summer this year and for years to come.
